3D Image of the Internet

When thinking about designing the internet, I immediately pictured mixed sizes of webs. The middle part is the center of the internet-then the internet can go off into a million different ways.

Due to a medical condition, I am unable to physcially draw a picture of the internet, so instead I used items I had around the house to create a 3D form of it.

What? The center of the web is putty. I used putty because the center of the internet can mold in any way each individual needs it to. Then, there are different items coming off of the putty (blocks and pens). Each individual block and pen is a different part of the internet. As you can see, some of the items connect to one another, some of them are completely on their own. Take Google for instance. Google has an endless amount of “webs” coming off of it, whereas a bank’s website may be a direct link and have no steps in between.

Something I’d also like to point out is that there is nothing about the internet that is linear. It is always more complex than we tend to realize.
